My misstake. Mpeg files plays fine with audio both in vdr and with mplayer (The program).

I'm using OSS with an Creative Vibra 16 (Soundblaster 16) isa card. My soundcard works
perfectly with all other apps.

I can't use the mp3 plugin though it just keeps restarting my dxr3 card.
