I forgot - i had also problems with files were gone with an ext3 partition 
hitting 100% and doing not an instant reboot (which could always happen with 
a vdr system runing 24/7), that should'nt happen!

One should run system-health-check scripts anyway for a "HA" system as vdr - 
never want to loose a Star Trek episode ;-)
