[vdr] ANN: dvbtextsubs-0.2 (now with VDR support) (fwd)

Dave has now announced a new version of dvbtextsubs that now
also works with VDR files recorded with the ttxtsubs plugin
(or a recording with just the ttxtpid set as a DPID).
Excellent! Thanks, Dave!

An extra quick note:
Currently, recordings that are cut in the middle for example to
remove commercials, will have the subtitles have the original
timing and therefor lag with the cut's length after the cut.
They therefor have to be adjusted after the cut. There may be
a way to fix this, but currently this is the situation.
On recordings that are just cut in the beginning and/or end
everything works fine.

Hello,

Just a quick note to say that dvbtextsubs-0.2 is now available from

http://www.linuxstb.org/

dvbtextsubs is a program for authoring DVD subtitles from a recording
containing DVB teletext subtitles. It now supports transport streams
(either files or direct from a DVB card) and ".vdr" files as input.

The main change from version 0.1 is that it can now extract subtitles from
VDR recordings made with the ttxtsubs plugin. There are also numerous bug
fixes. Full details are in the "CHANGES" file included in the distribution.

Regards,

Dave.
