hello.
i own a skystar2 rev. 2.3 on a P-IV system without any
mpeg2 decodig card.
i use slackware linux, kernel 2.4.22 together with the
dvb-kernel driver.
now, if i do a "szap -r zdf" for example, and "xine
stdin://mpeg2 - </dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0" everything
works just fine.
but if i try running it WITHOUT the "-r" flag, xine
gets no output, nor does "cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0".
i get the same problem with vdr as well.
since i want to use vdr i'm posting this problem here.
check out the softdevice or xine-output plugin, these provide a software
MPEG decoder for VDR. Both are not yet perfectly mature but on the right
way.
