maybe you need do know about the theory, how the lnb works
it has 4 states: low/vertical, low/horizontal, high/vertical,
high/horizontal
the high-low switching is done by 22kHz signal and the hor-vert
switching is done be 14 -> 18 Volt change

what should the LNB do when one card needs horizontal and one needs
vertical (different voltage)

only hardware can fix this completly (twin lnb or quad lnb or switch),
the only possible software solution is to limit the switching and
recording in a way that if one card has a fixed state, the other will be
limited to the same (recording high/vertical on card 2 will limit the
switchin of channels of card 1 to all high/vertical channels)
thats what the lnb-sharing-patch is good for
