I love it even if it is crude. I hope that the new dxr3 plugin will 
implement something similar (is Christian Gmeiner listening? ;-) ).
Now, the icing on the cake would be to scale it only after the "No 
signal" image has disappeared.

Well, I've been switching channels like mad but I couldn't trigger the 
problem anymore :-) (and that's with the default algorithm).
Now, I'm not sure if it's because the new release fixed it or because I 
found the stupid mistake I made (confirming what I told in my last 
message): I installed the xine snapshot in a different location than 
system xine, but it didn't occur to me to look in the plugin's Makefile 
and change the path of the invocation of xine-config accordingly. Duh. 
Maybe a short note in INSTALL under "MAKEFILE SETTINGS" could avoid 
someone else making the same stupid mistake.
