[vdr] AW: New user questions.. cntd..

Hi

For 1) Check vdradmin, it's a perl driven webinterface to vdr (will surely
do everything you need)
For 2) You can see this easily in vdradmin
For 3) VDR needs running but what you can do is using nvram-wakeup, so the
PC turns on automatically when a recording takes place
For 4) Very badly -> mplayer for win32 does work but poorly, better way is
converting the recording with vdrconvert to DVD-Images -> Burn them or mount
them via daemon-tools on windows and use your favorite dvd-viewer

These are only examples, might be other solutions for anything. Take what
suites best for you

Betreff: [vdr] New user questions.. cntd..

Is there a way to:
1. Schedule a recording from command prompt or web interface.
2. Check for recording schedule conflicts automatically.
3. For a schedule to run, does vdr need to be running, or will it be called
when schedule kicks in (eg. cron job)
4. What tool could I use to view a vdr recording in windows?

Thank you!
