Which version of VDR definitely works the linux-DVB drivers in kernel 2.6?
Using kernel 2.6.6 - 2.6.7 VDR just restarts every few seconds while it
works with 2.4.22 ...

If you support the DVB-drivers shipped with the vanilla kernel everything
would be fine! :-)
