Well, these patches are all for VDR 1.2.6 and IIRC they also introduce
lots of debug stuff.

Maybe somebody could adapt these to VDR 1.3.12 (or, even better, 1.3.13,
which I hope to bring out this weekend).

With my recent work on buffer optimizations I have tried to _reduce_
the number of thread locks, so I'm a bit reluctant to accept such a
large number of additional locks - unless they are absolutely, positively
necessary...
