It tries to learn keys for the keyboard, in case you run VDR itself from 
a hidden terminal, and wish to control it when the main Xv window has 
the focus. Not a bad idea ;-)
So type keystrokes to make it learn.
Less obvious : when you run VDR with softdevice using DirectFB, the 
keyboard it tries to learn is the local one (console), not the keyboard 
you ran VDR from (ie. this is not the same, when using VDR).
