I  upped the time to 20 seconds to start learning. All is well until I
get to "pause" then xine kicks in and takes control of the remote. And
it quits when I press the stop key...

In .xine there is no LIRC config stuff.

I will skip the play pause etc keys but if you can check why the latest
xine cvs version is using the remote it would help a little
