Hm, since I just added Joe's patch I need to ask him, too:
Joe: Is it OK for you to release dvbtraffic.c with your patch
into the public domain? I.e. can I add a header like this:

/* This file is released into the public domain by its authors */

Or do you prefer a different license liek the GPL?
