I kind of suspect that KS007 is the controller for the remote. There
is, however, an 8 pin IC to its left, which could be an i2c controlled
eeprom.

Its a small 16 pin IC. Perhaps related to the remote? (USB remote wonder)

To the right off the A/V decoder and underneath the NIM is a small 8 pin
IC. Perhaps an i2c controlled eeprom. I'm not spotting, in the photo
of the cards front surface that I'm viewing, any particular candidates
for a controller for the remote.
