Hi,
I'm experiencing extreme difficulties in getting a Technisat Airstar 2
working under Ubuntu (Feisty) with Ubuntu-Kernel: 2.6.20-16-386.
I've attached the dmesg-log and as far as I'm assessing the situation
the drivers are loaded correctly, by udev.
/dev/dvb/adapter0 exists and is correctly populated.
`$lsmod | grep dvb` shows:
dvb_core 78760 1 b2c2_flexcop
dvb_pll 14468 1 b2c2_flexcop
i2c_core 21648 5 stv0297,i2c_ec,mt352,\
b2c2_flexcop,dvb_pll
`lsmod | grep flexcop` shows:
b2c2_flexcop_pci 8344 0
b2c2_flexcop 27916 1 b2c2_flexcop_pci
dvb_core 78760 1 b2c2_flexcop
dvb_pll 14468 1 b2c2_flexcop
i2c_core 21648 5 stv0297,i2c_ec,mt352,\
b2c2_flexcop,dvb_pll
I've already verified, that the dvb-t-signal is receiveable, someone
lent me a TV and a dvb-t-box.
Someone from my aread supplied a working channels.conf,
the output of `tzap 3sat` for example is:
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 570000000 Hz
video pid 0x0231, audio pid 0x0232
status 00 | signal 78af | snr 0000 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 |
status 00 | signal 700f | snr 0000 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 |
status 00 | signal 000f | snr 0000 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 |
....
I'm experiencing similar outputs with different channels.
The Card is brand-new, but nonetheless I'm suspecting the hardware to
be faulty. Is it advisable to try the hg-drivers?
Is there another possibility to debug this further?
best regards,...
