[vdr] playing with streamdev

Hello,

After RTFM I can't understand how to read a stream using VDR -> VDR
client on a different machine.

I have installed VDR and vdr-xine on the client machine but how do I run
VDR on a machine with no DVB card? Do I have to modprobe the DVB
modules? What do I do to attach the VDR streamdev client to the stream?

Both xine and VLC can attach but I want the VDR menus EPG etc on my
client. This isn't very clear in the docs sorry.
