The X11out plugin is a proof-of-concept study to display the output of X11 via VDR on the TV.

Hardware requirements

  • XvFB (virtual X frame buffer - part of X11)
  • FFMPEG
  • Netpbm

Installation

FFMPEG

tar xvzf ffmpeg-<VERSION>.tar.gz
cd ffmpeg-<VERSION>
./configure --prefix=/usr/local \
            --enable-shared

Netpbm
