A hybrid ATSC USB 2.0 device by Hauppauge.

It is currently supported by LinuxTV

Note: As of August 2014, the WinTV-HVR-1955 is sometimes shipped instead of the HVR-1950. The HVR-1955 does not, at this time, have a open-source driver available. A source-level driver for Linux is available from Hauppauge after a NDA is signed. Hauppauge technical support can be contacted for more details. You should receive two files - one a kernel patch for the driver and a binary blob used with the Silicon Labs 2177 tuner. Those two allow the 1955 to work. Confirmed with Arch Linux on a 3.17.6 kernel. Note that you might need to tweak the patch to get it to compile but the changes are minor.
Note: As of Jan 2016 NDA is not required. Drivers can be found here: http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/linux.html
