The following table lists the confirmed working DVB-S USB devices and provides a brief summary of their features and components. If you need more technical information on a device, have a look at its specific wiki article.
<br>

If you are experiencing problems with USB devices, it may not be the fault of the tuner. For example AMD 700 series chipsets (e.g. 780G) have a problem with USB ports which results in tuners working or partially working or not working at all. This can be solved by using a separate USB adapter with a reliable chipset (e.g. VIA 6212L, NEC).

SIEMSSEN & CO. - Opera S1
A driver fully supporting this device is available in 2.6.22 and later kernels. It currently doesn't work on PowerPC (endianess problems).

A similar device to the DVBWorld, either identical or a modified OEM version. Seems to be sold in Germany by one of the well-known discounters. Its German distributor is Siemssen under the name Opera DVB-S1.
The card contains a Cypress CY7C68013A-56PCX to manage the USB part, which seems to control a Xilinx Spartan(R) XC3850 FPGA. The tuner box reads Sharp, but I cannot find out more about it.

I'm able to upload the firmware to turn the device from cold mode to warm USB ID but programming the FPGA still fails.
For my card/driver:
The cold USB ID is: VID 0x04b4 (CYPRESS) PID: 0x2830
The warm USB ID is: VID 0x695C (???????) PID: 0x3829

DVB-S cards in similar cases can be found on different Asian sites:

Despite the fact that all those devices look quite similar and have similar hardware, Siemssen still claims that they are built completely differently and their drivers are not interchangeable.

TwinhanDTV StarBox II - DVB-S (7021A)
The following modules are necessary in order to get this device running:
- dvb-usb.ko
- dvb-usb-vp702x.ko

The driver is still a little work-in-progress. If you want to help the development, please consult the linux-dvb Mailing list. The front-end part of the DST driver could be rewritten to be used by the USB driver. Currently it is hard-wired to the PCI cards.
Make it work
tm6000 module autodetection not working on satbox because most tm6000 devices have same 6000:0001 numbers and satbox one of them it's has 6000:0001
tm6000 module must be loaded with "card=0" option it will detect satbox as Unknown tm6000 video grabber and will be work as video grabber without dvb-s

Device Issues
* A 75ohm terminator to be connected to the LNB-Out connector for better stability
Supported DVB-S USB Devices
The following table lists the confirmed working DVB-S USB devices and provides a brief summary of their features and components. If you need more technical information on a device, have a look at its specific wiki article.
<br>

Nuked: moved Wiki - New Device Copy & Paste Template to Geniatech Satbox

First, if possible, we would like a good overall image of what the device looks like (Note: do NOT use proprietary images unless you have obtained permission to do so). Next, provide a brief summary of what the device is and by whom it is provided (include wiki links to the card type and the vendor -- and, ideally, after you have finished editing this page, you should add links from those pages back to this one). The last introductory piece of information is the all important indication of whether or not the device is supported under Linux. Here's an example:<br />

An ATSC ATSC PCI cards from KWORLD.

The ATSC 115 is supported under Linux since kernel 2.6.24.

Note: The page contents menu will automagically build itself, so you need not worry about it

Overview/Features
Discuss the features and facets of the device here. For example:<br>

* PCI interface
* Inputs: Antenna (Composite), Remote and S-Video In

Components Used
List the hardware ICs and modules used by the device here. For example:<br>
* Quantek QT1010 (tuner)
* Intel/Zarlink MT352 (demodulator)
* NXP/Philips SAA7130HL (A/V decoder and PCI Interface)

Other Images
Use the included code to insert other images if necessary. Add as many high resolution pictures as you can i.e the card, the original box, the remote and, when uploading the files to the wiki, give them detailed specific names. Note: only use images taken by yourself or those 3rd party images for which you have received express written consent (such as from a vendor) that permits their usage. For example:<br>
<gallery perrow=5>
Image:VideoMate_DVB-T220_box.jpg|VideoMate DVB-T220 Box
Image:VideoMate_DVB-T220_remote.jpg|VideoMate DVB-T220 Remote
</gallery>

Identification
Provide here, for PCI/PCIe devices, the relevant output of <code>lspci -vnn</code> or, in the case of USB devices, <code>lsusb -v </code>. We're particularly interested in the subsystem ID's. To make a code block simply make the first character of each line a space. For example:<br>
# lspci -vvvnn
