Is it possible to capture tapes while keeping A/V sync?

Seriously. The problem is tapes don't produce a constant signal.

I've tried the following options in various combinations: -noskip -mc 0 -mc 30 -mc 2.0 -aoc copy -aoc pcm -ovc copy -ovc raw -fps 25 (or no -fps option) -vf harddup

Nothing works! To reproduce quickly: repeatedly remove and plug in again your composite video cable.
