Hi,

Just had a few questions for the writers of this page:

1. I'm not sure how to "recompile the driver with -DBUZ_USE_HIMEM in the gcc commandline" Will this require recompiling the whole kernel? Or with the Debian kernel sources installed, can I just use those to recompile the driver? If the latter is the case, what would the command line look like to do that?

2. If I reserve 16MB memory at boot time is there a way I can check if the module/driver is successfully using that memory?

3. Debian testing has a bigmem kernel (linux-image-2.6.22-2-686-bigmem) Is this what is needed as explained here: "The second way to do the same thing is to use the bigphysmem kernel patch." Do I still need to reserve memory at bootup and recompile the driver, or is just having this kernel sufficient?

Thanks a ton to anyone who can answer this!

Mark.
