[linux-dvb] Movie Files

Can somebody please post the structure of a movie file? You know what I
mean? How it works, how to decode and encode. Not the programs, the
(ger:theorie).
If I know how such a movie file is done I think it's possible to write a
DivX ;-) suport for VDR or so.
