Please do a depmod -e #and let us know what's missing
and if it's something with i2c-core the wrong i2c-module is used.
Do a find /lib/modules/your-kernel/ -name "i2c-core.o" and be sure
only the one coming with dvb is there.

mmh, should'nt happen ;-)
BTW, i had some trouble with video-device permission changed on user-logon
under Suse7.1 (to be disabled in /etc/logindevperm)
