I just checked a recording I made with an earlier version of VDR (also
0.80preX because I only have the new Hauppauge model) which showed some
audio and video distortions and watched it with the latest CVS driver
loaded. The distortions were gone. With an older driver snapshot, I also had
problems doing fast forward/backward: the upper or lower half of the screen
would freeze and only the other half of the picture would be a moving
picture (the effect was similiar to the the picture being "washed away" on
channel switching I had with even older versions of the driver). These
problems were gone, too. I had some audio offset problems (video too late)
when begining the replay but I couldn't reproduce that. Apart from that,
replaying was almost perfect.

BUT: I still cannot view or record any channel with the current CVS driver.
The screen just stays blank. No complaints from the driver or VDR
-( Playing with the init_chan parameter doesn't help either. This is pretty
sad because the replay quality is really good now. Does anyone have an idea
why the tuning with the new Hauppauge card doesn't work with the latest CVS
driver anymore?

Regards,
hh
