[linux-dvb] recording of PAL signals

Hello,
first I want to thank all the guys developing that software.
Great work!

I am planing to buy one of the cards and to use VDR.
But I do have one problem. Since I do not have a satellite receiver, I have to use my cable provider (telekabel in vienna). I asked for support of DVB and they told me that they are not sending in DVB until now (maybe in late autumn).
Is there any possibility to record "normal" PAL with VDR?
What card do I have to use?
