Please actually test it. AFAIK, you cannot view it on composite out.

This then is done in software. There is tons of V4L software out there
to do this.

Please at least try to find and take a look at datasheets before 
saying something like that.
The SAA7113 VIDEO DECODER datasheet is freely available from the
Philips website. It only digitizes PAL/NTSC composite signals, 
decodes them into their YUV components and outputs them in CCIR
format. You cannot decode (or even encode) MPEG with such a chip
There is no kind of MPEG decoder on this module.

If you want analog support, take the SAA7113 driver from the Kfir
package, juice up the MSP driver from the bttv package and add code 
to talk to the analog tuner. Have fun!
