[linux-dvb] Installation perfect, dvb0 nowhere!

Hi list,

I've seen a lot of questions about not finding the dvb0 device to bring it
up.

None of this questions was answered. I wonder why!
Isn't that list for help each other?

I've downloaded the latest Siemens drivers, siemens_dvb-0.9-20010808.tar.gz
installed perfectly, no errors at all.
I have 2.4.7 kernel whith module support for I2C and V4L.

After "make insmod", lsmod looks like this:

Module Size Used by
dvb 233808 0 (unused)
dvb_demux 11232 1 [dvb]
saa7146_v4l 15056 0 (unused)
saa7146_core 13984 0 [dvb saa7146_v4l]
tuner 4208 1
stv0299 2768 0 (unused)
tda8083 2064 0 (unused)
VES1820 3488 0 (unused)
VES1893 3408 1
dmxdev 7056 1 [dvb]
dvb_filter 3904 0 [dvb]
videodev 5120 1 [dvb]
i2c-core 13328 0 [dvb saa7146_core tuner stv0299 tda8083
VES1820 VES1893]
dvb_net 3008 0 [dvb]
dvbdev 1840 1 [dvb]

Then i try to bring up the dvb0 device, like it was with older versions of
the Siemens drivers: ifconfig dvb0 192.168.4.1 up.

Then I get in syslog this: Aug 11 11:34:33 server modprobe: modprobe:
Can't locate module dvb0

I've tried to figure out what the hell happened. It looks like my Linux
and C knowledge is not enough, cause I didn't find the answer for my
question posted here.

I'm sure many of you who uses the Siemens chip based cards already figured
out how to bring up the dvb0 device. I just want somebody to help figure
out what should I do!?

I've also tried all the other versions before the latest. With the v0.9
and up the compilation and module insertion is perfect. The others didn't
compile at all with the I2C and V4L support in the kernel.
I've compiled a new kernel, tried to compile the <v0.9 drivers. Didn't
worked.

If anynone have any suggestions, even irronic ones, don't hesitate to
contact me!

I have to make this card work A.S.A.P.

Thank you all,

Emil.

P.S. My DVB card is a Technista SkyStar 1
