Try a longer watchdog timeout. VDR waits 10 seconds for the arrival of EPG
information - and meanwhile your watchdog timer has timed out.
The waiting for EPG data will be needed when VDR can record into a hierarchical
structure, using the "Subtitle" of the EPG event information as the actual
file name.

Even if there was a menu item for this, with a 10 second watchdog timeout
you would have no chance to cut in there.
