[linux-dvb] DVB subtitles

Hello,

I've been looking at decoding DVB subtitles.  A lot of channels seem to 
broadcast subtitles as teletext streams (either within the normal teletext 
stream, or as a separate stream).

My question is whether this is the only way that DVB subtitles are broadcast. 
Is there a DVB-specific format for broadcasting subtitles?  For example, are 
subtitles ever broadcast as sub-pictures in the same way as they are stored 
on DVDs?
