[linux-dvb] how to disable second DVB-s card?

Background:
Because currently it is -entirely- impossible (does some one want 
to swap a socket 370 350MHz PII against a 1000er PIII? :-) ) for me 
to use the second card (garbage recordings, MPEG1-error and Kernel panic
and no clues) i want to disable the card, in the hope that some day
there will be more DVB/VDR users with a faster PC (CPUs below 500MHzs
are already hard to get) running in the same problem so the 
motivation increases to find the bug :-)

Question:
Is there an elegant/easy way to turn the card/interface on 
and off by software?
