you forgot one possibility:
the company has to fix their broken code on the smartcards and COMPLETELY
shut the old keys down and using a new keyspace... sending new cards
without the bugs allowing copys from the secret keys inside to their
cusomers
the result would be that all keyfiles in the net are unusable and without
a original card even a softcam couldnt work.

of course there is the possibility to sniff the card and send the
controlwords to more than one cam or softcam ... but this possibility is
even there when a non-ci stb with original card is used.

you see the problem with pirate-tv is a complete problem of insecure
smartcards with bugs... -> the problem is not being solved by legal
actions...
legal actions only make problems to singe people who the got sued for a
knowledge other people get paid for... thats not fair...

and even if the one who was sued erased his mind.... the knowledge about
this all stuff is written down in files and still to widespread about the
internet, which is 'write only' as we all know

no, i don't wanna be sued for softcams, i neither use such software
i have a legal subscription and only know much about this things

roh
