[linux-dvb] Re: HDTV & DVB / VDR (dscaler ..)



Hi,

I'm a user and responded to this thread just to share my experiences (grass
of the nabourghs is always more green). Windows doesn't solve this issue and
I'm impressed by the people responding to this thread. Im building (with
help !) a second HTPC with VDR paritition. I've not made up my mind yet.
With Windows I do have a MP3 jukebox, girder (IR RC), Divx, DVD,
LCD,.......... But lacking good On Screen Display and software like Dscaler
still keeps me interested in the VDR solution. What I would like to
have..... A single CD with options to install a working VDR solution. This
is how to make Linux become more widely accepted. My reference is
Smoothwall, maybe not the best, but at least a way to get Linux accepted by
a broader audience.
