[linux-dvb] serious DiSEqC problems

Hi there,

I bought a new DiSEqC switch which works perfectly with all other
satellite receivers but not with the DVB-S card. There are two different
reasons why it does not work:

- If using a full DiSEqC message (Addr.0x10, Command 0x38) the timing is
terrible: Between the paritiy bit and the first bit of the next byte
there is a gap which enlarges the last bit by 15%. This makes the DiSEqc
decoder (a PIC 16C505) losing its bit sync.

- If using a simple SA/SB tone burst it would work, but there is an
error in the implementation of SEC_MINI_B. According to the
specification there should be 9 one's (500us 22khz followed by 1ms 0hz)
within 12.5ms but unfortunately nothing is transmitted.

I would be very happy if someone could fix the problems in the firmware.

Deti
