If you want to use VDR there is perhaps a other way:

A Developer made a plugin for VDR (still very alpha) wich uses a DXR3 CARD (Mpeg2
Decoder CARD) as Primary Device for VDR.

So you can record a Movie and playback a other one or make timeshiftig over the
DXR3 card - sure your not able to watch a other TV-Channel at same time !
