no, it is actually easy to read if you have syntax highlighting :-)

maybe you like these channel lists:

http://dbox2dev.eseven.de/services.xml - satellite
http://dbox2dev.eseven.de/services.xml_cable - cable, little bit older

both should contain valid utf-8 encoded strings, i am quite sure that it
is currently not really correct. :-)

they are already used by a linux dvb application.

some minor changes to this format should be done, but i was too lazy to
add them:

- store all frequencies in Hz
- add spectral inversion parameter to the transponder tag
- add dvb-t support

maybe you have some more ideas what could be changed.

for bouquet grouping we use use a separate file, see
http://dbox2dev.eseven.de/bouquets.xml as an example.

the reason for that is that one service might appear in several user
defined bouquets and might even have different user defined names.

there are both open and closed source editors available for linux and
windows for both file formats, which might be of interest for people who
do not want to mess with the file format itself.

Regards,
Andreas
