[linux-dvb] [RFC] USB2.0 DVB design - final review invitation

Hi everybody,

the final redesign for Linear DC/DC converters is in CVS, module dvb-hw/. You can view the files online: http://linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/

We decided to use a 4layer board due to the LED wires and the IR receiver datalines crossing the highspeed TS signals. Achieving the required differential impedance of 90ohms+-10% was easier on a 4layer PCB too because of the thinner dielectricum. This raises the cost for the PCB to ~20EUR instead of ~10EUR for a doublesided board.

relevant datasheets:
http://linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/dvb-hw/dvbusb-fx2/datasheets/

required library files, schematic and Eagle board file:
http://linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/dvb-hw/dvbusb-fx2/schematic/

Gerber files prepared for order at http://www.pcbexpress.com/:

Please review, watch out for bugs and comment everything you might find strange.

Gerber files can be viewed under Linux using gerbv (http://gerbv.sourceforge.net/) or any other tool. If somebody has installed Viewmate (http://www.lavenir.com/) please compare to the requirements described on http://www.pcbexpress.com/technical/tips.php.

I added postscript files of schematic, PCB top and bottom side. So you can view those without installing eagle.

We plan to let the boards assemble at DCECOM (http://www.dcecom.de/), this would cost about 25EUR per board. Any disagreements?

thanks,

Holger
