Thanks for that Guy

I compared some of my station listings to yours and I note that there
are some variation in Prog Ids, video and audio pids. I don't know
enough about this so I don't whether this is expected or not.

I just found a press release on the ITC website about transmission modes
that proved to be useful. It relates to the transmission modes from mux
2 (Digital 3 &4) and mux A (SDN) they are using qam 64. I assume that
my problem must be something to do with this since it is these two muxs
that I am having problems with in vdr.

This is a little strange though because when I generated my station data
with SuSE 7.2, siemens_dvb-0.9.12, dvbtune 0.3 combo I had to use the
following command line on mux 2

dvbtune -c 0 -f 529833000 -i -qam 16 -cr 3_4

when according to the ITC info I should have used:
dvbtune -c 0 -f 529833000 -i

dvbtune defaults to qam 64 and code rate 2_3

I did in fact try this but no data was generated.

For mux A I used:
dvbtune -c 0 -f 505833000 -i

as I would expect and it worked ok.

Taking a closer look at my channels.conf file I noted that the
transmission mode and code rate were not set in the parameters field for
stations on mux2 or A. I had this:

ITV 1:529833:V:0:27500:514:652,662:0:0:8277

I assume it should read:
ITV 1:529833:C23M64:0:27500:514:652,662:0:0:8277

BTW this is your ITV1 (made up the params field just for eg) you can see
the differing Prog id, video and audio pids. Obviously the your
transmitter and mine operate on different channels so a differing freq
is to be expected.

ITV 1:764000:V:0:27500000:512:650:0:0:8274

Any hints welcome.

Regards

Glenn
