[linux-dvb] Re: TechnoTrend DVB-C & ABIT BP6 mainboard problems

Hi Uwe,

i'm running 2 dvb-s (V1.3 and V2.1) in my bp6 (V1.1). My 2nd BP6 is V1.0 and
is much more stable. Had to do some HW changes to the V1.1 MB (solder some
capacitors) to improve stability.
One card is mounted in PCI slot 1 (V2.1 closest to the agp slot) and the
other card is in slot 5 (V1.3).
Two NICs are in Slot 2 & 3 Slot 4 and ISA slots are empty.
A Matrox G100 is mounted in the agp slot.
Bios is a special version from www.bp6.com (RU) dated 20-apr-2000.
I used Redhat 2.4.18 sources to compile my own kernel
Scart connect to the TVset from the V1.3 card
Lirc 0.6.6 with serial connection
nvram to shutdown/restart for timers
3 Seagates (1x60GB, 2x80GB)

I had lots of troubles with 2.4.19 and 2.4.20 because something has changed
in the kernels powerdown routines. no MB shutdown only IDE drives are
shutdown.
