[linux-dvb] Reducing Linux booting time

Hi,

I am working on a Set Top Box with Montavista linux as my OS. Somehow i
should get my initializations done i.e, linux should boot and my
application should run within 5 seconds, where as linux booting itself
is taking to around 10 seconds. I have removed even the default kernel
boot statements (printk). It is not helping me much. More delay is
taking when mounting the file system. I am using jffs2 filesystem
(/dev/mtdblock3).

Can anyone help me in increasing the speed of linux boot.

Regards,
Vidya.S
