[linux-dvb] channels.conf / DVB-s / UK Listnig

I am currently building a VDR using the following:

1) Mini-ITX EPIA 1Ghz (from www.mini-itx.com)

2) Creative DXR3 Card (maybe use the onboard MPEG decoder)

3) 4 x40 LCD Display

4) 120Gb Hard Drive

5) Hauppauge Nova (DVB-s card using quad LNB and a sky mini dish)

6) LIRC (got this working !! using “http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2748821424&category=16164”)

7) Linux Red Hat 9

8) I have an ADSL 4 port 10/100 hub so internet access is not a problem (for CDDB)

Does anyone know:

a) Will this work ?

b) Does anyone know how to create channels.conf for DVB-S in the UK ?

c) Is anyone doing the same ??

d) Has anyone managed to get a decent MP3 ripper / CDDB / Player working ?

e) Where can the display come from ? (will it just be TV only or can I use TV and Monitor ?)
