What's the significance of the 5 ?
increase filter timeouts by a factor of 5, see 'scan -h'

Aha - I was presuming the 5 was an argument to -c and couldn't see it documented in the -h output. Completely missed the -5 option!

Will give that a try over the next day or so (off to work in a moment).
not necessary, it -5 works it's not a CRC problem

Excellent - thanks for that.

Now if only I could figure out what was going on with dvbtune -i not returning any information:

<transponder type="T" freq="662500000">
Nothing to read from fd_sdt
</transponder>
maybve the same problem? try to increase the timeouts and see if that works. If so your signal is either really weak so that packets get lost or your provider doesn't meets the table repetition rates required by the spec.
