[linux-dvb] DEC 2000-t troubles with 2.4 kernel

Hi,

I'm trying to get a DEC 2000-t working at the moment, and I think I'm fairly close, but not quite...

I've built the CVS dvb-kernel drivers for 2.4.23 (using the build-2.4/ directory), and ensured that ttusb_dec.c contains the dec2000t.bin firmware.

The device seems to be detected OK:

Dec 12 08:50:45 leia DVB: registering new adapter (DEC2000-t).
Dec 12 08:50:45 leia DVB: registering frontend 0:0 (TechnoTrend/Hauppauge DEC2000-t Frontend)...

I'm confident that the firmware is being uploaded - when first plugged in, the adapter resets once, and then not again until it's power-cycled.

I'm using the scan programs from the CVS CVB module - is that the right version to use with the dvb-kernel drivers?

Also, can someone confirm just which modules need to be loaded? At the moment, I'm just doing "sh insmod.sh load", and also manually loading ttusb_dec.o. I'm sure that's overkill.

Anyway, when I attempt to scan, I get:

scanning dvb-t/uk-Hannington
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
Frontend can not do INVERSION_AUTO, trying INVERSION_OFF instead

Done.

The "Invalid argument" error to DMX_SET_FILTER doesn't always occur - it seems to be intermittent - but I always get the filter timeouts and 0 services found. I know my signal's good, the box works fine under Windows, using the Hannington transmitter.

Have I missed something basic here? If needs be, I can load the driver with debug and post some verbose logs...
