[linux-dvb] Re: shutdown DEC2000-t / replex

Metzler's replex (0.0.6) a try for producing dvd-style mpeg2 and
encountered any problems?
A couple.. It's way better than some of the alternatives however.

I processed a .ts (cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 > foo.ts ,
/ starting with default, later trying various options), and mastered the
resulting .mpg to dvd using dvdauthor 0.6.7. as usual.
Pipe the resulting PS to mplayer and watch the timestamps as they roll past.

In my settop (Pioneer, eats almost everything) the resulting DVD starts
playing, there's sound for about on or two seconds and then the movie turns into a still picture
(more like it just stops playing than like "freezin'" .
I get that for about 15 seconds then mplayer ties itself in a knot and crashes. Have a close look at the A/V timestamps and also the A-V difference. On most ts's here I see the audio racking up normally and the video keeps looping the timestamp around a 5 second period until it all goes down in flames.

On my side this behaviour is reproducable with various files of my dvb-t
source material.

Could anyone help me to decide whether the problem is in front of or
behind the keyboard ;)?
Probably behind. There are some odd ts's coming from some of the sat channels.

Brad
