I used the scan utility rather than tzap. Find a frequency 
in your windows channel list, then make a file analagous to 
scan/dvb-t/uk-Oxford, mine looks like this:


# Sutton Coldfield
# T freq bw fec_hi fec_lo mod transmission-mode guard-interval hierarchy
T 658000000 8MHz 2/3 NONE QAM64 2k 1/32 NONE


then run
./scan dvb-t/uk-Sutton | tee channels.conf

and put the resulting file in ~/.xine/
