[linux-dvb] Zero Traffic with SkyStar2 and EutelSat



Hello,

I've been working to get my net connection up and running on a Slackware
machine, using a TechniSat SkyStar 2 TV card for the past few days, but
am stuck at this point.

All the required modules (stv0299 and skystar2) are loading fine and I
can use either dvbtune or dvbnet to bring up the dvb0_0 interface. I
also get a 'FE_HAS_LOCK' when I do this.

Next, I use a dialup connection and lynx to connect to EutelSat's login
page which also works fine.

Everything upto this point works perfectly with both kernel 2.4.24 and
2.6.4.

Next, I try to use their proxy and nothing happens. The following
command just sits there doing nothing:

http_proxy="http://proxy.eutelsat.net:8080"; lynx <url>


while 'tcpdump -ni dvb0_0' doesn't give any output either.


This is the output of ifconfig:

I'm guessing it has something to do with the routing, but can't figure
out what. Do I have to give dvb0_0 the right IP or is that irrelevant?
If the former, what is the correct one? Anything else I should check?
