[linux-dvb] tt dvb-c ir question

I have a technotrend dvb-c card rev 2.1.

Right beside the cam slots there is a smal hole, it looks like it's some
kind of ir diode there.
It seems to be connected to the jumper just outside the metal box.

Does anyone know what it is? Is it a ir reciver? Maybe thats what the
av7110_ir module is used for?
