I installed it at first without any cooling, but left the case open.
Already after 5 minutes, the card got noticeably hot, so I installed
an old, small cpu fan w/o heatsink directly above it.

I think this is where most of the heat comes from, maybe due to some
inverter circuitry to generate the 13/18V switch signals or so. I
don't care, it's running several hours and didn't explode so far ;-)

On my Board (2.6C), none of these have a heatsink.
