I haven't tried that, yet. But I guess I'll have to do it now...

I am actually able to get another kind of an error message by unloading
and reloading the dvb_ttpci module with rmmod/modprobe:

saa7146: unregister extension 'dvb'.
saa7146: register extension 'dvb'.
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:09.0[A] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10
saa7146: found saa7146 @ mem d9054000 (revision 1, irq 10)
(0x13c2,0x0001).
DVB: registering new adapter (Technotrend/Hauppauge PCI rev1.3 or 1.6).
Technotrend/Hauppauge PCI rev1.3 or 1.6 adapter 0 has MAC addr =
00:d0:5c:03:f4:4b
dvb: debi test in av7110_bootarm() failed: 00000000 != 10325476 (check
your BIOS hotplug settings)
av7110_fw_query error
DVB: AV7110-0: ERROR: Failed to boot firmware

Does that give any more hints about what's going on?
