I have the same card that is running on a Fedora Core 2 (kernel 2.6.5) 
(with CI and cam).

I also have it in my dmesg...but I have also the following: av7110: 
found av7110-0 (I saw that you have it also few line below...)

This does not mean that you made something wrong. First time I had 
installed dvb driver (included with the kernel), I wanted to start the 
scan utility. It didn't work (I had timeout if I remember well...) but 
the szap utility was working.
Using vdr, I could switch to free to air channels and make screenshot 
with vdradmin (I have no TV out currently)
May be you could use vdr to check that you can get some free to air 
channels.

From the trace that I see below, it should work since all modules seem 
to be loaded. If you don't want to use vdr, you can try KaxTV. It seems 
to work well (I didn't test it yet)
