[linux-dvb] Leadtek LR6650 (Conexant) scan / lock problems

Hi all,

I'm another one who has recently acquired a Leadtek LR6650 card from EBay
UK, and I'm pleased to say that I seem to have it successfully installed
using a 2.6.9 kernel (Gentoo) plus the Bytesex patches (All-2.6.9-rc4). 
However, I'm having problems receiving some frequencies.

My nearest transmitter is Crystal Palace, although I've tried others
(Sandy Heath, Oxford, Hemel Hempstead).  I've been using both dvbtune and
tzap, but prefer the latter for ease of use and output information.  Is
there likely to be a difference in locking abilites between the two?  It
seems unlikely.

I can get FE_LOCK on certain multiplexes (e.g. Crown Castle), and stream
(say) Sky News perfectly with dvbstream to an MPEG.  I can't get a lock on
the ITV multiplex though.  Signal strength seems weak (tzap maximum I've
seen is 0x0059), but as I said, reception of the Sky multiplex is perfect,
as is UK History.

Is it likely to be a driver issue, or do I need a better aerial?  I've
tried the roof aerial with a booster and also tried a set-top aerial, but
signal strength never seems to get beyond 0x0055.

My computer case is quite crammed, and the card is sandwiched between some
others.  Might interference be the problem, hence the difficulty on
certain frequencies?  Actually, this seems the most plausible.
