IIRC Convergence has used this "feature" for exactly one demonstration
board, where two frontends were located side by side and disturbed each
other. It's not used by any of the major cards out there.

Anything which simplifies it is good by me. I've never found frequency bending to be of any benefit.

yes, if the event queue and this is removed the code should look much cleaner...
